Helpful tips when choosing clothing to send:

Think about what your finished quilt might look like. Do you want the quilt to have a certain color palette? Or theme? Perhaps you want to match the decor in a room? Choose clothes that work with your ideas. Don't know what you want? No problem, I've got lots of ideas. Send me all your favorites and I'll make them work together beautifully. Remember to send “plain” clothes as well as embellished. Striped shirts, tiny flower print dresses, even solids will enhance a quilt. Some other things to consider: bibs, blankies, even crib sheets can be used as well.

How many outfits do I need to send?

It really depends on the size of the quilt. A small 3x3 might only require 15-20 items. A large 5x5 might require 30-40. But I will use the clothing you provide and maximize it throughout the quilt. I can make less look like more if I need to. And if you're having trouble narrowing it down, sending more than I need rather than less is a good idea. When in doubt, too much is better than not enough..

How will you know which ones to use?

If you have sentimental favorites that are "must use" please group them together in a clearly marked bag or box. Otherwise, I will decide what works best in the overall design. Relax, I'm going to use the cutest ones too. That's half the fun.

 Can I drop them off?

You bet, call me to make arrangements. If you don't live nearby, we can work through the mail. I suggest you send the clothes using a tracking number and insurance. I will do the same when sending you the finished quilt

What happens to the scraps and any unused clothes?

Your choice. If you want everything back, I'll make sure you get it. if not, I'm happy to donate unused clothes to an appropriate charity and dispose of scraps.

 I don't do laundry.

At least, not yours. Please send your clothes clean and in good condition. Clothes that arrive in a crumpled mess will need to be ironed before I can work with them and extra ironing charges will apply. I will use my best judgement with stained clothing, working around problem areas wherever possible. If you are sending stained clothes that are "must use" I will work around problem areas as much as possible...but be aware, I'm not a magician.

 Returns

C'mon, really? Each quilt is a work of art and once created it cannot be un-done. For obvious reasons, once the process begins returns are impossible. However, I am here to listen to your concerns and work with you. If you hate the color pink, or stripes make you dizzy, or you're terrified of fuzzy yellow ducklings please tell me before we get started. I want you to love this quilt as much as you loved the clothes in the first place. Maybe even more.
